About the Role
Are you a passionate Speech & Language Therapist looking to make a meaningful difference? Join our dedicated healthcare team in Sint Maarten and help improve the quality of life of our clients through impactful, client-centered care.
In this full-time, on-site role, you will work autonomously while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team. You will assess clients’ needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions aimed at enhancing daily functioning and independence. Your work will support clients with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and physical or mental developmental delays.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate and diagnose clients’ speech, language, and communication needs
Consult with specialists when necessary and advise on appropriate referrals
Develop, coordinate, and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
Provide therapeutic interventions and conduct individual and group therapy sessions
Monitor progress, adapt treatment plans as needed, and maintain accurate documentation
Educate and support clients and their families on therapeutic strategies and goals
Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team and provide guidance on treatment approaches
Requirements
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Speech & Language Therapy and valid professional licensing
Experience in assessing client needs and developing individualized treatment plans
Strong skills in providing therapeutic interventions and conducting therapy sessions
Proficiency in documentation and maintaining accurate patient records
Experience or strong affinity with clients with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and developmental delays
Affinity with sensor-motoric integration and/or a neurological approach
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to educate and support patients and their families
Good command of the English language; knowledge of Spanish, Dutch, or French is an asset
