Covid-19 update

We are sad to report that three clients in our nursing home have tested positive for covid-19. They all live in the same wing of our nursing home. Directly involved clients, family and our teams have been informed, and CPS was immediately contacted. They have started source and contact tracing and we are following all their instructions and guidelines.

Two other clients that live in the same wing as the confirmed positive clients have been tested and are negative. They will remain in quarantine until 14 days have passed from the last date of possible exposure. Everyone that was in direct contact with the clients has been placed in quarantine.

The clients who have been diagnosed with covid-19 are all receiving full care and treatment in our separate unit with our dedicated covid team members, who have been training for this since early March of this year.

Family members can contact our team there on telephone number 5264910.

We wish everyone a speedy recovery and will continue with all our strict measures to prevent new infections.

You can help us by washing your hands frequently, keeping 2 meters away from everyone not in your household, wearing a mask when keeping distance is not possible and always cough / sneeze in your elbow or a single use tissue. If you have any signs or symptoms (even if very mild) call your family doctor and get tested by the great team of CPS.

When everyone consistently follows these guidelines we can slow and stop the spread of covid-19 on our island.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us on 5484431 or email me at: bboetekees@whiteyellowcross.org
