WYCCF vaccinated 700 people in the first week!
Updated: Jan 11, 2022
We're looking back at quite a historical week at the White and Yellow Cross Care Foundation!
After weeks of planning, preparation, and the formation and training of the WYCCF vaccination team, on Monday the first Covid-19 Vaccine on St. Maarten was administered at the WYCCF to our own Quality Nurse: Claudette Rijff, in the presence of Prime Minister Silveria Jacobs, and Acting Minister of Public Health Social Development & Labor Ludmila de Weever, who officially launched the vaccination campaign on the island.
On day 2, we had to honor to vaccinate the Prime Minister and on Wednesday our Manager of Operations, Bregje Boetekees received the shot too!
For the first three days, we vaccinated a large number of staff and clients, and yesterday we continued with cluster 2 which consists of all people 60 years and older.
The vaccination team of the WYCCF has vaccinated almost 700 people!
We're proud of our vaccination team, and the tremendous achievement that they pulled off this week! It's been raining compliments from everywhere! Not only for setting up such a friendly and smooth vaccination procedure, but also for leading by example, and providing this service to the people of St. Maarten!
In closing: A big thanks to the WYCCF Vaccination team!
Enjoy your week!
